The ยฃ25 Dumper Reveal – Humpty!

Yes Lawrie, we too wonder how you are going to get this poor thing out of the back of a Transit

As LMM team member Morgan states in this video, You have a serious problem. No not directed at you dear viewer, but at our namesake – Lawrie. For you see he managed to somehow purchase a 1971 Liner Roughrider dumper for a mere ยฃ25, transport it back from its comfortable bed to which it has laid for many years and thenย somehow relieve it from its transporter into the warmth of the shed.

However… will it run?

  1. Great to watch…reminds me of my initial excitement when I bought mine several years ago! Yours cost a tenth of what I paid for mine-and I still think I got a bargain?
Liner Roughriders have a reputation of being the Rolls Royce of single cylinder diesel bumpers…but also poor starting, poor steering and rubbish brakes.
I drove mine around our small holding for the summer then stripped it down to tidy it up a little. I put better tyres of the front too. Now it wont start and the brakes have seized!
For the record, ยฃ25 wouldnt buy the plate (Liner Roughrider) yours has on the ‘bonnet’…mines been pinched.
